Shipping policy

Thank you for shopping with Milton's Plants. Every plant is hand-selected from our network of trusted growing partners in California and Florida and shipped directly from their greenhouses to your door. This direct-from-grower model keeps plants fresher and reduces handling.

Where we ship

  • Continental United States (lower 48 states).
  • We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, or internationally due to USDA agricultural regulations on live plants.

Processing time

Orders are typically prepared at the originating greenhouse within 1–3 business days of payment. Plants ship on Mondays through Wednesdays so they do not sit in a carrier facility over a weekend.

Carriers and transit time

  • USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground depending on destination and package size.
  • Transit is generally 2–5 business days once the package leaves the greenhouse.
  • A tracking number is emailed automatically as soon as the label is created.

Weather holds

Live plants are sensitive to extreme temperatures. We monitor the forecast for your destination and may delay shipment when:

  • Daytime highs along the shipping route are forecast below 35°F (1°C), or
  • Daytime highs are forecast above 95°F (35°C).

When conditions warrant, our growing partners include complimentary heat packs or insulated liners at no extra cost.

Live Arrival Guarantee

If your plant arrives damaged or in poor condition, please contact us at hello@miltonsplants.com within 48 hours of delivery with:

  • Your order number,
  • Photos of the unopened or just-opened package, and
  • Photos of the plant showing the issue.

We will replace the plant or refund your order. Claims made after 48 hours unfortunately cannot be honored, as plant condition depends on prompt unboxing and care.

Tracking and delivery

Once shipped, please monitor your tracking and be ready to receive the package the day it arrives. Leaving a live plant on a doorstep in extreme heat or cold for an extended period can damage it and is not covered under our Live Arrival Guarantee.
